We had so much joy… working with our herd at our lovely farm here in Maine, learning to make all the fabulous products with the milk and creating a wonderful business! Being able to have our farm open to the public to enjoy all the goats and their new babies, attend soap making classes, purchase our products, and simply share in our experience as we learned and grew was the best part! We met so many wonderful people and have created a loyal following which keeps me motivated to get up each day and make new creations!
After having two knee surgeries, I was unable to keep up with the physical work required to properly maintain the herd. After three years as goat farmers, we knew we had to hand over the reins to younger, stronger, farmers to ensure the best care of our herd!! That’s where Honey Brook Farm enters the story!! Nancy, Matt, Anna and Tucker expressed a desire to purchase our goats as a complete herd. My desire was always to keep my girls together. They now happily reside at Honey Brook Farm in Garland where we visit as much as we can and still maintain some ownership of the herd to allow the milk to continue flowing!!
